What is Wood Badge? Wood Badge is an advanced, national leadership course open only to Scouting volunteers and professionals. Scouters from Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, Exploring and district and council Scouters are all welcome and belong here.  Wood Badge develops skilled leaders who can strengthen Scouting units.

This course will be a joint venture between the Cimarron Council and the Cherokee Area Council. Each council will select half of the staff and will be allowed to fill half of the participant slots. A maximum of 24 slots per council are available.

Who should attend? All registered adult leaders in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts who have completed basic training required for their current position and 18+-year-old Venturers.

Where will the course be held? Will Rogers Scout Reservation (located north of Highway 64 about 4.5 miles west of Cleveland, OK or about 1mile east of the junction of Highway 99 & Highway 64).

What at the dates for the course?

Session I: Start-8:00 AM on Friday, April 24 End- 5:30 PM on Sunday, April 26
Session II: Start-8:00 AM on Friday, May 8 End- 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 9

What does the course cost? The cost of the course is $200 if paid in full by February 8, 2020. After February 8, the fee is $230. A minimum $50 deposit is required to hold your place. The fee may be transferable to an approved substitute applicant if unable to attend. Complete the registration form below and send it to Council Office. All participants must present a completed BSA Annual Health and Medical Record.
